  1. ACDC Baltimore 4H Club: Empowers youth through hands-on experiences in S.T.E.A.M., healthy living, leadership development, and community service. Our programs are designed to build confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of civic responsibility. By supporting the club, you help shape the next generation of creative thinkers and community leaders.
  2. ACDC General Fund: ACDC Baltimore relies on ongoing contributions to its capital fund to keep its programs running strong. Each day, these programs support hundreds of youth and adults across the Baltimore area through education, outreach, and community engagement. Your support helps ensure these vital services continue to grow and reach those who need them most.
  3. ACDC Resource Development: We’re developing a revenue strategy to strengthen long-term grant acquisition and support financial growth. This includes expanding services, building strategic partnerships, and investing in tools that improve how we operate. Our goal is to align our resources such as people, funding, and systems with sustainable growth and impact.
  4. Ashland Community Garden: This initiative provides funding to teach youth the basics of urban gardening while addressing food insecurity in local food deserts. Through hands-on learning, young people gain skills in growing fresh produce and understanding sustainable practices. These efforts not only empower youth but also bring healthier food options to underserved communities.
  5. Jerilynn Reid Memorial Learning Center Fund: Supports the Jerilynn Reid Learning Center Fund. This location houses an Afterschool Program with STEAM activities and healthy snacks for children, creating a safe and enriching environment. It will also offer healthcare vocational training for underemployed Baltimore residents, expanding opportunities for stable, long-term employment.
  6. Michael W. Potts Workforce Development Fund: ACDC supports individuals preparing to enter or advance in the workforce by providing stipends for GED preparation and workforce training programs. Funding helps cover costs such as testing fees, certifications, training materials, and short term credential programs aligned with in demand careers. These investments help participants build practical skills, earn credentials, and move toward stable employment opportunities.
  7. Megan D.K. Carr Memorial Outreach Fund: ACDC supports families and students through programs that meet both academic and basic needs. We provide Thanksgiving meals to deserving families and offer academic support to at-risk students throughout the year. Highlights also include our annual Back-to-School Festival, which equips children with supplies and encouragement for a strong start to the school year.
  8. The Alice C. Thomas Scholarship Fund: The Alice C. Thomas Scholarship supports students who are pursuing higher education and working toward their academic goals. It is designed to help ease the financial burden of college while encouraging commitment to learning and personal growth. Through this scholarship, students receive support that helps them stay focused on their education and future success.

Jerilynn Reid Memorial
Fundraising Campaign

Recently, ACDC was blessed to obtain office space on the second floor of a Church Square neighborhood shopping center. This addition will allow ACDC to open an Afterschool Program complete with STEAM activities, healthy snacks for children, and provide Healthcare Vocational Training for underemployed residents of Baltimore.

With these expanded services, ACDC will have the capability to continue with the 4H club, in partnership with the University of Maryland Extension, and the provision of educational counseling to low income individuals.

Ms. Jerilynn Reid’s community activism was extensive. As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jeri, participated in numerous programs and events focused on community service.  Jeri worked with Delta Academy the Sorority’s Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully (G.E.M.S) and Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence (EMBODI).  While president of the Baltimore County Alumnae Chapter (BCAC), she received two community service awards: 2015 NAACP Freedom Fund Award and a Citation Award from Delegate Jay Jalisi.  She was heavily involved in her chapter’s Juneteenth Celebrations, and maintained continuous community outreach through the Outreach Center, providing such activities as STEM education, mental, physical, and academic enrichment activities to the youth. Upon her passing, former Baltimore County Executive, Kevin Kamenetz declared February 18, 2018 as Jerilynn Reid’s Day.  BCAC honors her legacy during their Annual Impact Day of Service, a day centered around public service initiatives.   She was also a proud and dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Considering this legacy, our Board of Directors unanimously support the naming of this “Learning Center” in honor of her memory and notable accomplishments.

Our funding goal is $25,000 to make the Center operational. Giving Levels are as follows:
